This work is part of a series (series 4) driven by my interest in geometry and colour. The paint has been applied using a mixture of brush and trowels, creating different textures and surfaces.
It creates a powerful statement, and I find that with this style of abstract art, the simplicity is deceptive - there is more than meets the eye ! The use of contrasting colours and shapes creates an interesting artwork, that appears simple, but on closer inspection reveals greater nuance and complexity.
It has been painted using Artist Quality Acrylic paint on a Professional Quality stretched cotton canvas with a matt protective varnish, and is signed on the back.
