This work is part of a series (series 5) in which the paint is applied with various trowels. I apply multiple layers over time to create different textures and surfaces, adding another dimension to the work.
It creates a powerful statement, and I find that with this style of abstract art, the simplicity is deceptive - there is more than meets the eye !
It has been painted using Artist Quality Acrylic paint and matt interior house paint on a Professional Quality stretched cotton canvas with a matt protective varnish applied.
